Relax a little bit at a time

This blog will be updated a few times a week and bring you lots of ways to stay healthy, active and fit, as well as anything important, odd or interesting going on in the medical world.

For the first blog, I thought it might be beneficial to offer students who are stressed out about new classes, new jobs, new apartments and expensive text books a great way to relax.

First, find somewhere comfortable and preferably dark. Breathe deeply and concentrate on relaxing each part of your body separately, starting with your face and head and moving downward, till you get all the way to your tippie toes. Go back to parts that don’t seem to want to relax. Releasing tension from your body parts individually is a lot more effective and just may put you to sleep, so please don’t do it when your professor turns off the lights so you can see their power point presentation!
